Certifications & Courses
Are APD certifications recognized globally?
Yes. Our AI Product Manager (AIPM) and AI-Native Professional (AINP) certifications are designed based on global tech industry standards and are trusted by top-tier tech professionals and organizations worldwide.
How is the certification exam conducted?
APD certification exams are timed online assessments. You do not travel to a physical test center, and live webcam proctoring is not currently required. After you log in, you confirm the name on your certificate, accept the exam terms, and enter a one-time assessment passcode emailed to you (this is not your account password).
- AINP and AIPM-1: 60 questions, 75 minutes, 75% passing score
- AIPM-2: 80 questions, 120 minutes, 75% passing score
- AIPM-3: eligibility review, strategic case, portfolio review, and expert panel (not a multiple-choice exam)

How long do I have access to the course materials?
Upon enrollment, you receive lifetime access to the core course materials, allowing you to review the frameworks and playbooks whenever you need them.
What is the difference between AIPM and AINP?
AINP (AI-Native Professional) is a foundational credential for professionals who use AI in daily work. It does not require coding and is not designed for AI engineers or data scientists. AIPM (AI Product Manager) is a three-level pathway—AIPM-1 Foundation, AIPM-2 Professional, and AIPM-3 Strategic Leadership—for people who build, evaluate, and govern AI products. Do I need coding experience or prior AI certification?
No. AINP and AIPM-1 have no formal prerequisites, and neither exam tests coding, model training, or ML infrastructure. AIPM-2 strongly recommends AIPM-1 or equivalent product experience, but it is not a hard gate. AIPM-3 requires AIPM-2 or equivalent leadership evidence and a mandatory eligibility review.
How long is my certification valid, and how do I renew?
AIPM and AINP credentials are valid for 2 years. To renew, earn 30 AEU continuing-education credits in that cycle, submit evidence in your account portal, and pay the renewal fee (AINP and AIPM-1: $150; AIPM-2: $200; AIPM-3: $300). Approval extends validity another 2 years. If you miss the expiry date, there is a 90-day grace period; after that you must retake the exam. Full rules: Recertification Guide.
What happens if I accidentally exit the exam?
Reopen the exam page and click Continue your attempt. If time has already expired and your attempt was auto-submitted, email contact@apd.institute. The first time you click Start, Moodle login credentials are sent to your APD account email so you can resume on your own.
Are APD certifications government licenses?
No. AIPM and AINP are professional certifications issued by APD Institute. They are not government licenses. They signal capability against APD’s published competency models. See AINP and the AIPM Pathway.
How can someone verify an APD credential?
Each digital certificate includes a unique verification ID. Holders can view issued certificates under My Certificates after signing in. APD Institute issues all credentials and manages verification; training partners cannot issue APD certificates. If a credential is not renewed, it is marked Expired and is no longer verifiable in the official registry. Use Verify Credential in the site footer, or see the Recertification Guide.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) securely processed via our global payment gateways (e.g., Stripe).

Partnership Program
Who can become an Authorized Training Partner (ATP)?
Authorized Training Partners are legally registered training, education, consulting, or workforce-development organizations—not individual coaches. Individuals should apply to the Authorized Instructor program. See Become an Authorized Training Partner.
How do I apply for the partnership program?
Can a Training Partner issue APD certifications?
No. Only APD Institute administers exams, issues digital credentials, and verifies certificates. An Authorized Training Partner may issue approved course-completion records, but not APD certifications. Every official course must be delivered by a course-specific Authorized Instructor. How long is Training Partner authorization valid?
Partner authorization is generally valid for 12 months, then reviewed for renewal based on compliance, qualified instructor access, activity, and quality. Authorization is normally non-exclusive by country or region.
