Instructor Authorization Is Course-Specific
Instructor capability requirements vary by audience, subject depth, and learning experience. Authorization to teach one APD course does not automatically authorize an instructor to teach another.
Important: Holding an APD professional certification does not automatically grant instructor authorization.
What an APD Authorized Instructor Can Do
Authorization enables teaching within a defined standard. It does not confer the right to issue certifications, alter core curriculum, or operate courses independently of an approved delivery arrangement.

During the first phase of the APD Instructor Program, Authorized Instructors deliver APD Official Courses through an APD Authorized Training Partner or an APD-approved official program.
- Instructors do not need to be full-time employees of a Partner.
- Instructors may work with more than one Partner.
- Each official delivery must be registered.
- Upon leaving a Partner, individual instructor authorization is retained.
- Instructors must not continue using a former Partner's brand or customer relationships to deliver courses.

Commit to APD’s code of conduct, intellectual property requirements, examination integrity, responsible AI principles, and brand standards.
Language Capability
Demonstrate the professional communication ability required to deliver the course in each approved language.
